Any dentist who regularly treats patients suffering from dental phobia knows that time factor is critical. If the doctor fails, the patient will disappear for years thus expanding the circle of dental care neglect, suffering and tooth pain.

The main problem is that only a few dentists are able to cope with their patients' dental phobia in spite of the fact that modern dentistry offers a variety of solutions such as dental treatment with laser, use of laughing gas, hypnosis,…….??, use of elements of alternative medicine in the course of treatment, light or deep sedation with the help of medications or general anesthesia in case of severe dental phobia. SEVERE DENTAL PHOBIA

This could be the ideal solution to all those who are not able to cooperate with the dentists during the dental treatment : very young children, patients with different mental deficiencies, people who are allergic to medications used in local anesthesia, people who suffer from  Parkinson disease, cp ,etc .

 

An additional advantage of dental treatment under general anesthesia , is the possibility to carry out the most complicated and extensive treatment plan in one day under one anesthesia session. Patients who have neglected dental treatment for many years find themselves in a situation when they have to go through multiple sessions during many months of conventional dental treatment.

CALCULUS REMOVAL

 

Calculus removal is a preventive treatment that has to be performed regularly once every half year or sometimes more often. Calculus removal is done in the clinic either by the dentist or by the dental hygienist.

In the process of treatment the bacterial tartar is removed .If it is allowed to remain on teeth for a period of time, it hardens in the presence of saliva in the mouth.

In most cases the tartar can be seen with a naked eye in the back of the frontal cutting teeth on the lower gum and on the grinding teeth on the upper gum. It is important to know, however, that there is plaque also in other areas which are hidden and which can be seen only with the help of X-Rays.

 

Only regular plaque removal can prevent the development cavities and gum diseases.

If the discoloration is the result of antibiotics or trauma, tooth whitening can be performed only with the help of root canal treatment of the teeth or crowns or laminates.
